Table mixer MP-GL

The next generation

Labratory mixer MP-GL

Table mixer

Application range with various tools: mixing, granulating, pelletizing, dispersing. Benchtop model, GMP-compliant, non-explosion-proof design. With a device for quick and easy changing of the mixing or process vessels.
Applicable mixing vessels with the following nominal volumes: 0.5; 1.2; 2.5; 5.0 and 14 liters.
Dimensions of the mixer housing: W/ D/ H approx. 65 x 40 x 33 cm

Mixer housing

Mixer housing made of stainless steel sheet, brushed AISI 304 one-piece, corners welded, weld seams ground. A touch screen is embedded in the front of the housing as a control panel. Drive motor, frequency converter and complete control system mounted on stainless steel frame. The mixer stands on flat machine feet.

Drives

Main motor:

1.5 kW AC angular drive (reduction 1:1), frequency controlled approx. 150 – 2800 rpm.

Counterrotator:

DC gear motor which drives a shaft flanged centrally in the lid with scraper and product deflection function. 4 fixed preset speeds 10 and 40 rpm

Electrical system

Operating voltage 230V, 50 Hz, control voltage: 24V DC 1.5 kW main motor. Safety interrogations in the lid and tank.

Control system

Operation of the mixer via 7″ touch panel, electrical protection class IP 65. Optional continuous operation or timed operation (count-down timer). Manual adjustment of speed for main motor and counter-rotator stage 1, 2, 3 and 4. Digital indication of speed for main motor in display. Temperature display, electronic protection of the lid after motor start. Container-specific safety query. Emergency stop above the touch panel, main switch On the side of the mixer housing control panel.

Mixing unit

Exchangeable mixing container with lid and tools

Container

Stainless steel AISI 1.4571
Conical-cylindrical shape with currently 5 different nominal volumes available (0.5; 1.2; 2.5; 5 and 14 liters). Container rim with seal to lid and 2 locking slots. WDR as sealing of the drive shaft to the product chamber is housed in the container foot. The die shaft is mounted in double bearings in the container base. Container centered by guide groove, secured by quick-locking mechanism.
Working tools in the vessel: Mixing and granulating tool in the vessel consisting of tool carrier, 4-wing mixing element AISI 316, spacer rings.

Cover for counter-rotating operation:

Made of stainless steel with replaceable transparent inlet made of Makrolon. With a centrally located bearing housing and a plug-in device to accommodate the gear motor for driving the stripper tool. Drive shaft is sealed with a shaft sealing ring. Basic equipment wall scraper with POM lip.
Rotary handles as clamp closures.
Up to 4 supply connections possible in the inlet of the cover (after customer agreement):

Examples:
1.) Vacuum connection
2.) Supply port for powder dosing, for aeration or liquid dosing
3.) Fitting for temperature sensor.
4.) Mounting spigots for further sensors

The MP-GL is a laboratory mixer for the production of product samples, or a tool for developing or testing mixing tasks that are later to be transferred to large mixers in production. The drive for the mixing tools arranged in the vessel bottom is provided by a frequency-controlled motor. The speed range depends on the container size used.
A scraper is mounted in the lid. This moves against the direction of travel of the mixing tool in the base. In doing so, it directs the tangential product flow into the center of the mixing tools.
The MP-GL is designed for manual operation. The control panel, as well as all electronic and mechanical components, are housed in the machine casing.
The MP-GL is splash-proof.

Cover

With replaceable inlet and centrally located scraper tool.
The lid can be removed manually.
The lid is locked by 2 twist locks on the edge of the container.
The signal transmitter for safety interrogation is located on the side.
An easily removable gearbox is mounted on the cover, which moves the
counter-rotating scraper.
